First Cuttlefish bone casting: Fleur de lis

This is done in Bronze. The Fleur-de-lis seems to follow me! I seem to see it everywhere :-). So I decided to make my first casting project a Fleur-de-lis. I'm going to make it a pin.

I love it! Not this summer but next there is going to be a bronze casting week-long workshop and I'm seriously thinking of signing up.

Hi Swati, your fleur-de-lis turned out wonderfully. I've got to learn more about cuttlefish-bone casting, it's a new technique for me. :)

Tracy go for it, casting is fun!

Thanks JoJo!

Dave, cuttle bone casting is fun, but you can make mostly rough-ish kind of stuff I think, in it. What I am really dying to try is the lost wax proces...will be getting into that from Thursday.

I'm thinking of doing a piece with cuttlebone & PMC. What's your opinion of how it will work?
Thanks! Jean
