A ring for a girl named Anna...

This sterling silver spinner ring is for a very special person called Anna Taylor. She placed an order for a sterling silver spinner ring with these words to be stamped on it:

"I love, I dream, I believe, I sing, I share". These words speak a lot about who she is, and how she is.

I know her through a spiritual forum I go to. And I see her generously devoting her time and energy to as many people there as possible, replying to their requests for prayers, wishing them happy birthday, taking part in everyone's joys and sorrows. You can see how she genuinely LOVES everyone. Loving comes easy to some people, and Anna is one of those special people.

She has a dream, which is to reach many many people through the songs she writes and sings. The words of her song are such that they touch the hearts of anyone who reads them or hears them. She also has cerebral palsy because of which she needs crutches or the wheel chair. Yet, when you talk to her online, you will not always be aware of what she faces on a daily basis. She is always listening to people, responding to them, praying with them, laughing with them, holding them when they cry. She is just 29 years old. This beautiful young woman (beautiful to look at, and beautiful within) wants to be a successful singer, and reach many many lives, and let people know that even if they are "different", they can succeed. This is Anna's dream.

And she has faith. She totally believes that she will succeed, and will be able to help many hearts heal.

She sings like an angel. She sings from the depths of her heart. Anna's had a life - long love of music and singing and has shared her voice internationally, with performances in London, Dublin, California and Hawaii. She is currently raising funds to record her debut album with her co - writer and producer, Robert Berry, at his Soundtek Studios in San Jose, California.

On June 4th 2009, her local newspaper featured an article about her and her story. To view the online version and video of Anna, (which includes details of the 'Wall Of Love' where for $US 111 people can sponsor one of 111 hearts and have their initials added to this special page on her website and CD booklet), click here:

She generously shares of herself, her time, and her wisdom with everyone. Anna is an ANGEL THERAPY PRACTITIONER® certified by Doreen Virtue, PhD. She is also a Theta Healing™ Practitioner. She offers sessions in person in West Sussex, England as well as via telephone and email, and holds monthly Sound Healing Telecalls where she connects with the Angels to offer healing through her voice.

To know more about her, go to her website: http://www.Anna-Taylor.co.uk.

When she asked me to make this ring for her, we thought for a while what words would be most appropriate for her, and when she came up with, "I love, I dream, I believe, I sing, I share", I was thrilled! Because I know Anna, and I know that these words speak a lot about her.

I added a 14K gold-filled spinner ring on top, because gold helps in manifesting dreams. And the spinner ring concept itself comes from the Tibetan prayer wheels where they spin wheels and pray. This action is supposed to help in manifestation too.

I pray that all your dreams are always fulfilled dear Anna! (((hugs)))

This ring is for $70. Plus shipping and handling. If you want such a ring made for you, please contact me.

New Wire Sculpted Pendants

These are some wire sculpted pendants I've made over the last few days...techniques learnt from Metallique and Preston Reuthor courses. All stones except one are genuine, and they are all set in 14K gold-filled wire.

This blue stone is Amazonite:

This is a Unakite:

I am not sure what stone this is...I think it is Jade. Any ideas?

This is Fluorite:

This is an Agate cameo...mum and baby:

This is actually an Amethyst colored man made stone (the only man-made stone in this section; the rest of the stones are genuine). But when I took a picture, the picture looks blue:

This is a Peridot:

This is a Pink Topaz:

There are 2 Citrines and a string of fresh water pearls:

Two Pink Topaz here, but the bigger one is not the finest quality...the edges are not pink. Maybe the heat treatment wasn't done well?

3 Wire Sculpted semi-precious stones pendants

Here are 3 wire sculpted pendants I have done. These are all semi-precious cabochons. I am sure only about the Aventurine. The black one is either Black Onyx or Black Jasper or Black Agate. And the last one looks like Unakite to me. They are all wrapped in 14K gold-filled wire.

Melissa's angel.

I love the angels Melissa makes. It looked simple enough to see. But I realized when I was doing it that I am fine with making tight coils, but when I make loose large spirals, then the flow is just not there. Need much more practice there. And yes, I know, I need to file the wire ends in all these pieces I have done. LOL! I will do it a little later. I will practice my large loose spirals on brass wire before I attempt another sterling silver angel.

The main part is in sterling silver, the head is a Rose Quartz bead, and the belt is in gold-filled wire.

Spiral bracelet

My first silver piece I have patina-ed (LOS). At first I thought I liked my silver shiny ONLY. But I think I do like it antiqued too :-). The big spirals are not as good because I realized that 18 gauge sterling wire could not handle very large spirals. For spirals as big I'll need 14 gauge. Next time I'll do it with 14 gauge. However, I do like it, and it looks great when worn too! I was VERY happy to make it yesterday.

It is made of sterling silver, wrapped in gold-filled wire.

Ooops! One more earlier piece :-)

I made this one too around the time I made the sets for my mom. This is made of sterling silver wire and gold wire. I made this before joining metalsmithing classes.

Another early piece I forgot to add: RA

This is a pendant made in honor of the Egyptian Sun God - RA. I call it "The Glory of RA". I feel a great connection to RA...and happen to see "RA" written just about everywhere...especially on car lisence plates. I've made this pendant with polymer clay, gold-filled wire, genuine Citrine and genuine Emeralds.

The chain on it -- I still have to add that to my blog. I have made it with 28 gauge gold filled wire...with the technique of "Viking Knit". Quite proud of it. But I still have to finish it with a clasp etc. After that it will have its own blog entry :-).

Hug ring I made for Dad

This is made with Sterling silver and gold-filled wire.

Another set for mum

This was the second set I made. Made of some beads I bought from Michaels and fresh water pearls, gold-filled wire and vermiel spacers.

Progress with wire

I made this set for my mom. This is gold-filled wire and fresh water pearls. My "S" clasp has improved so much :-).
