My second piece to be featured in the Beadage magazine

This is a Hematite necklace made for Diana. The pendant is a Hematite cabochon sculpted into a pendant with sterling silver wire. The clasp is hand made too. The "chain" is made of Hematite beads and fresh water Pearls.

This is the link to my Beadage magazine feature:

Right now it is new , so it is on the main page of the magazine:
http://www.beadage.net/index.html

But that will change with time :-).

And this one was my first piece to be featured in Beadage. It is made of gold-filled wire, gentuine faceted Citrines, and fresh water pearls. This piece now belongs to Dana. The link to this piece in the magazine is:

YOJ Week 12: Stormy Weather

The theme was "Stormy Weather", and as I rummaged through my beads, stones and other focals, I found this lovely mermaid, made of carved wood, resting so comfortably and safely within what looks like a shell. So I made these waves of storm around her...the storm that made her decide to rest inside, and day dream of her merman. Kind of like what we like to do when the weather is stormy...snuggle inside a warm comforter and day dream. :-))))
The bead is carved wood, and the stormy waves are tarnish resistant sterling silver, and fresh water pearls.

YOJ Week 11: Cross (not on theme)

The theme for YOJ this week is Barbados Culture, but I'm not on theme. I really wanted to try Iza's tutorial for making a cross. It has a heart shaped pearl in the center, and I tried to make a halo with Labradorite beads...but instead of looking like a halo, this element is making the cross look like a key! And I royally messed up the weaving, especially on the left arm...what can I say Iza? I have crucified your cross...lol!

But...I think it doesn't look bad for a first attempt at it. I will love wearing it. The clasp is hand-made too. I have attached 2 Labradorite beads to the chain as well. The piece is made with sterling silver all the way.

Next time it will be better :-).

YOJ week 10: Pisces

Well...I'm not really on theme, but Aquamarine is a Pisces stone, so kinda there :). This was a commissioned piece by a beautiful Jamaican lady called Dyan.

Leah's Ocean Jasper set

Leah had chosen this pendant for herself, and needed matching earrings. Luckily I found some triangular Ocean Jaspers small enough for earrings, and made these for her. I know they look round in this picture, but thats because the picture sucks. LOL! I can take better pictures of humans than my jewelry :-P.
